Blizzard and Painting Lesson#2

Well, today there is supposed to be a blizzard here in the city. So far the first flakes are just starting to fall. We had planned to head out of town tomorrow, but who knows at this point. I am kind of excited for a snow day. I probably won't have a full day at work, depending on when the storm decides to roll in.

We didn't have a very serious winter so I guess I am not going to complain about a little blizzard. Plus I want to make a fort out of all of the boxes Eric and I have been packing. Seems like the perfect day for that.

During the last blizzard Eric and I walked over to our friends/neighbors and watched The Day the Earth Froze and had a glass of wine while the snowed poured down. Once the snow had fallen we took Bumblebee out into the deep snow and watched her have a ball. Do you have any blizzard routines that you do?

Also, if you will recall I am blaming all of my procrastinating for the past three months on my early pregnancy exhaustion. You may recall that I began painting lesson #1 in January, right about the time I turned into a nauseous narcoleptic. If you have forgotten or are new to my blog you can check it out here.

Now that I am feeling more motivated I decided that it was high time I get busy with the next painting lesson. Now you're all ready to go and check it out by clicking here. Good luck and feel free to email me with any painting related questions!

Our first spring blizzard is over now - almost - still blowing some snow around. We usually have a picnic on the living room floor and watch a movie with Scout when it storms. (I still think it's funny that they just call a blizzard a 'storm')...

Forts made out of boxes are the best! Done a few in my day. Brianne and I used to make forts for our Barbies out of umbrellas!

I think your blizzrd is moving down our direction tomorrow. We're supposed to get a few inches starting Friday afternoon. Enjoy your snow day(s)!

We don't get TOO terribly blizzard-y here in St. Louis, but being snowed in makes me want soup and tea, as well as cozy snuggling under a couple of blankets while watching TV/movies or reading with my Jackie-Cat. Actually, that's kind of what I like to do as often as possible, regardless of the weather. :-)

we like to head outside as soon as we can and shovel out - us and some of our neighbors, too.

though this winter it has been overly cold (way below zero) and windy and just too nasty to bring the kids out for very long.

also, this winter, if we did something special every time it snowed, it wouldn't be special anymore. we have had MANY big snows.

and it is snowing right now . . .
