Call for a little help/ Need Ideas

I could use a little help from you, my friends and readers. My family has a bit of difficulty when it comes to eating together. Eric and I are vegan, so that rules out all animal products. Another member of my family doesn't do anything with spice (I mean anything), tomatoes, onions, garlic, re-fried beans. We are constantly struggling to come up with a yummy menu for get-togethers. I'd love your input. Any suggestions?

well for the no spice person how about hummus w/flatbread.. also u can make flatbread white pizzas...
veggie stir fries...would ginger be offensive? since u can't use garlic? and not all stir fries need soysauce in it.. just olive oil or u can add chili oil...
how about wheatberry? that's great in salads w/cranberries...

Tell me about it... Our girl is impossible!! She refuses to eat anything I try to make her. We've tried everything but she mostly eats french fries and ketchup or fish sticks or grapefruits. I feel I'm a lousy mother when I can't get her to eat anything healthy.

But the little boy eats everything!

what do you mean no spice? Not spicy? Or no flavourings?

What about breakfast for dinner? Pancakes, scramble tofu, etc. :)

Wow that makes it really tricky... will ponder it today and let you know if I think of anything...

Sarah I mean no spice or no flavorings either. A few mild flavorings are OK, but even oregano is a problem.

I'd second the stir-fry idea, maybe with "add-ins" for people who like more spice, or chicken, or tofu, or whatnot (all on the side). Could have a base of stir fried (or grilled?) veggies, and then people could have whatever they wanted alongside.

Breakfast for dinner is also a great suggestion. Or... make-your-own pizza/flatbread? Does pizza sauce count as tomato?

Or: potluck! That way everyone has something they like to eat.

Maybe a vegan Alfredo sauce and pasta or mac and cheez? That seems kind of safe, perhaps?
