Reading with a Monkey

Cordelia has been growing. She really isn't a baby anymore (well, she is in my mind of course) and she's starting to act like a little girl. We've seen her using her imagination, playing, singing and countless other developments. She's started carrying a sock monkey around with her. She likes to read books with it. She will grab a book and make reading noises and flip the pages, often with one arm around her monkey.

What are some new developments in your life?

My little blonde baby, Chloe (my youngest) is ten years old today. I just can't believe it. It is amazing when your children make the transition from people you take care of to people you admire and want to hang out with!

I love these pictures...especially the one showing the book is upside-down. She's just so sweet it hurts my heart a little bit!

I hope one day to develop into an amazingly organised person with her finger on the pulse!

Your cordelia is so very, very cute and I just adore this stage. Eva is still similar to this, she reads to her 'babies' and behaves like a miniature adult, she loves talking on her pretend phone, packing her handbag and generally just being gorgeous.

A) We just watched old movies with Sonny-bunny in them when he was 3 and 3.5. Oh my stars! He was so tiny! SUCH a baby.

B) Dude, she's totally a baby until she's 3. This is a rule my friend and I told our boys was a Momma Rule taught at Momma school. True story. Besides, look at her hands; baby hands all the way!

My hub's sister just had a baby the day after thanksgiving, so I am now an auntie! so excited.

Cute cute! Elijah started "reading" too. No monkey however. :) He crawls up into the rocking chair, and opens a book and starts telling me what's going on. They are at such a fun age.

Wendy will sit in her rocking chair and look at books with her baby dolls - she does that "reading" a book from memory thing - it's SUPER ADORABLE!
