From the Hospital....for the Last Time (We Hope)

Last night they let her drive around in the wagon, iv trailing along for the ride

We spent another day and night in the hospital to undergo some more testing and to monitor her as she has been improving. Ultimately the test results have been a bit mixed, but the doctor thinks she has/had a stomach virus, urinary tract infection and an allergic reaction to the initial medication they gave her.

When we arrived on Sunday night she was extremely ill, but after a lot of iv fluid and medication she is starting to look and feel significantly better. She has been so sweet and polite to the hospital staff, thanking them for things that she is certainly not thankful for.

We expect the doctor to show up for rounds this morning and hopefully send us back home where we can continue to monitor her. So, hopefully we will soon be home and returning to normalcy.

I just wanted to mention how thankful I am to my mother for helping as Eric was out of town when we admitted Cordelia. My mother was here the whole first night and much of yesterday. My father and brother were super helpful watching Bumblebee while we have been away.

Wow poor girl to be hit with all of that at once! Love to you - it's hard to watch littles so sick. It's nice to see a smile on her face :). Here's hoping you get to go home today :)

Dear Cordelia,
We are thinking of our favourite vegan friend today. It's chilly here in NM, but not freezing (contrary to my own personal opinion.) SONshine went to gymnastics this evening and I met a momma from Wyoming! Then, we came home and ate an entirely vegan dinner (unusual since my husband Loves meat and cheese, and I adore chocolate.) We're listening to SONshine pick up his legos (he made Hogwarts and a car. Then he found his beloved stuffed walrus puppet and made a bed and a helicopter for him.) Not a terribly excited story for an ill babe, but a true one, at least.
Love, the Marlowe family
