Moving one more over from Rooted Vegan today. Vegan baked beans! Need I say more. Enjoy these with your holiday meal or whenever the mood strikes.

a good selection of side dishes to bring this time of year and baked
beans are an eternal winner at these types of events. Plus, you
know...beans, beans they're good for your heart....
3/4 c molasses
1/4 c tomato paste
1/2 c brown sugar
2-3 T maple syrup (depending on your sweet tooth)
1 T apple cider vinegar
2 1/2 tsp ground mustard
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 c vegan bacon bits
3 cans of navy beans, drained
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a large pot over medium high heat combine the wet ingredients. Stir
2. Stir in the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.
3. Add the beans. Stir. Lower heat to achieve a low simmer.
4. Cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
