Around the House

So we begin the season of being inside. This season is challenging for my heart a bit, particularly on super cloudy and windy days. Since we spend so much of our time indoors it is now that I start considering our space more. I have been bagging up outgrown clothes to either gift, sell, or donate.

I enjoy finding little corners of our home that make me happy. Art from friends, plants, little objects that make me smile. Oh and more plants.

Basically I just want to live in a giant atrium with some art.

Much of our furniture was gifts from friends, or thrifted finds. Actually our only new furniture are beds, bookeshelves, and record shelves.

My decorating theme: plants.

What do you do to keep your spirits up in the heart of winter?

Live somewhere warm.

Great advice. Any leads on a place with jobs for art historians and affordable housing?

I hear the Raleigh-Durham area is nice.
