Self-Care


It is no secret that this has been a challenging year for our family. Thankfully we have an amazing support system of family and friends who have been supporting us with encouragement and kindness. After the car accident it came to my attention that I had not been giving myself encouragement and kindness, that I had not been practicing self-care. I was feeling depressed. 

Since May I have been diligently working to remedy that situation. I want to be able to give my full support to Eric and the girls and I cannot do that if I am not taking care of myself. So, I started doing daily exercise, yoga, and meditation. Initially I had to go very slow and treat myself with tenderness as my body was injured from the car accident. As I have been healing I have seen my strength growing day by day. Meditation has been quite a gift, 10-15 minutes to just remind myself that all of these experiences are opportunities to grow.
