Wonky Foot

Bumblebee the basset hound has what can only be described as a wonky foot. I have no idea if she was born this way or if it is the result of some injury from before we adopted her. Sometimes strangers will approach us with this look of pity and ask us about our poor pup. Little do they know, looks can be deceiving!

When we first brought her home from the pound we were concerned that she wouldn't be able to climb into the car or onto the couch (yes, we let her on the couch). Little did we know that she would be able to clear our 3 foot bed in a single leap. She has no idea that she has a wonky foot.


She races around the dog park, the house or wherever and she is completely unencumbered by her wonky foot. Some people have even commented that she looks like a ballerina in second position. I can't argue with that.


Either way, she is perfectly content with her wonky foot. I don't know, maybe it gives her a hardcore edge in the dog world.
