Gardening
Yesterday was another delightfully productive day. Today I woke up so sore from busting my hump, but in a good way. I spent all of my Sunday afternoon working in the garden. I am about halfway done with all of my planting. So far I have lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, Swiss chard, carrots, squash, peas, cabbage and pumpkins.
Lilacs
Then last night Eric, Bumblebee and I ventured into the backyard while I attempted to identify the various types of bushes and trees that live back there. Most thrillingly I found that we have at least 4 (yes 4!) lilac bushes. Eric even humored me by sniffing the blossoms at my request.
I was so thankful that he was willing to join me on my botanical odyssey that I humored him by posing for his impromptu photo shoot. Unfortunately I was feeling dorky and my sweet hubby had visions of his pregnant wife wandering through the lilacs at sunset. He's so sweet, but this ended up being the prize photo.
Pomegranate JuiceAlso I was recently sent some Pom Wonderful pomegranate juice. Have you had this stuff? It's really good. I was also sent a little form telling me all about the health benefits so I felt extra healthy as drank away. I discovered that they sell different flavors as well, including blueberry and I have had a serious hankering for blueberry lately.
Weird Baby Dream
Finally, I wanted to tell you about just one of the many bizarre baby related dreams I have been having. Many of you know that we will soon find out the gender of our little baby (on Thursday) and I guess the excitement has carried over into my dreams. I had a dream that we went in for the ultrasound and the tech informed us that the baby was still a mermaid (???) and we would be unable to identify it's gender until it's legs separated. I was trying to swish my belly around in order to flip the baby and see if it was hiding something that would clue us in on the gender.
Yikes! Anyway, I think the excitement of finally confirming the gender (though we already have an idea) was coupled with the fact that this little one feels like a fish swimming around in there. It was either that or it was just a crazy dream that I should not have shared on the Internet...
Also, Hannah asked what type of bike I'm riding...it's a 1971 Schwinn Suburban!
What's new with you?

Love the photo! How cute would a baby mermaid be?!? ;-) Just kidding. Can't wait to hear who's coming your way.
I hated weird baby dreams. I still have weird ones though even after the preg... last night I was visiting my friend in Colombia, but we were in Iceland!
First of all u look great in that dress! Also just got off the phone and my landscaper's coming to clear off some of my slope so my tropical plants can finally get planted!.
I think weird baby dreams make for funny blog posts, so share away! The other night I dreamed that our little guy was a cartoon baby and could crawl across the floor as a newborn and then up the wall, over the ceiling, and back down again.
Oh! I remember the weird baby dreams. They could be so disconcerting. I dreamed once that my baby turned out to be a full-grown man with a beard and everything. I was glad to wake up from that one!
I love this picture of you! It's brilliant x
It's funny. With Diego I only had a handful of dreams where the upcomming "baby" was the star. The rest of them were just really odd. This baby, however, has gone and taken over my dreams. In a very nice and lovely way.
And I absolutely LOVED the ultrasound day where we saw the baby for the first time. Oh, it just about squished my heart to see his little heartbeat and fingers and legs. Sigh. Best day of the pregnancy (pre-birth, that is) for sure. Have a great day of finding out!!
I love the Pomegranate/Cherry juice, but the blueberry sounds really good too.
I'm so excited for your ultrasound! How fun.
Your bump is so cute!! Makes me miss my own bumps. I had weird dreams too when I was pregnant, I remember having a consistant dream when I was pregnant with Siena that when she was delivered she was completely orange! It totally freaked me out!
Great photo! What's the tattoo?
I love lilac bushes - how lovely. I think that photo is super-cute. Your kidlet will love it when they are older.
Has POM stopped their evil animal testing? I know I was contacted last year but I avoid companies that test on animals - I hope they've stopped! Big corporate meanies!
Oooh Pom. Yum. And you are gorgeous!
Wow...so many wonderful greens in your garden. I'm s l o w l y working on mine here. The baby dreams are just poof that a mother's thoughts are constantly connected to the well being of her baby. :)
Smoothies with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, orange juice, cranberry juice, and POM... super yummy :)
Love your dress and that your husband wanted to capture it on film!
Yes, you look beautiful in that pic! Like Annie, I'm curious about your tattoo! I love to hear the stories behind them. If you ever run out of daily topics, tell us all about it and any others you might have! (I love 'em, but don't even have one yet because I can't decide WHAT to get! LOL!)
