Yay! I can comment today. I live in a neighborhood where many, though not all, parents prefer their children to remain indoors playing video games or watching television. I like to do crafts and teach my children outside of school. I raise my children protected from junky foods, bad manners/behaviors/language, and inappropriate material, (no electronic media, including television under 3 years, no ratings higher than G or an occasional PG for my older child right now, etc.) I find that I'm often ridiculed, even to my face for these choices. I make it a point to NOT bring up our parenting choices in the company of others because it feels so singular right now.It can be very isolating, but I'm thankful for an online community which includes you and this blog. Other parents who are making the same decisions as I am for our wee ones. It makes me feel less bitter and more patient when I'm hit with obnoxious remarks. You help me continue my endeavor to be a better person and you always have, to some degree, I think. Thank you.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!~Have a lovely day!
