A few weeks ago I saw a woman at the grocery store. She had a lovely face and a good general vibe. I wanted to draw her, but boooy is is awkward to approach a stranger and ask if you can draw them. The first reason this is awkward is that often people assume I want to draw them nude, which is rather presumptive. I never ask men as I am afraid that they will assume I am flirting, and I suppose the same could be true of women, but at least the women are generally more chill. Anyway, this lady, A was so kind and agreed to pose for me. We met in a public place and I snapped some reference photos. Being an artist is weird.
