Today's Kindness Bandit is giving thanks to poor librarians. I don't know about the library where you live, but here librarians have to put up with the following:- Garbage stashed in shelves.
- Cranky book seekers, looking for a book that has not yet been released.
- Booger infested children's DVDs.
- People stampeding for computer time.
- Individuals who seem to feel that the library is actually their home.
- People talking loudly on cell phones. It's the library shhhhhhhh.
- Limited respect for the Dewey decimal system
Here is what I wrote:I hope you are having a good day at work. If you are having a bad day then let me lift your spirits with a bad joke.

A: Because someone told him to get along little doggie.

OK, so some of you are probably already familiar with that joke, but it's just too bad and I must share it with the world. Anyway, some random library employee will, at very least, be momentarily stunned by the bizarre joke. Hopefully it actually makes their day a bit better. We'll never know.

What a lovely idea! DS loves dropping books into the return bin. I think I'll get him in on a Kindness Bandit hit (sans the bad joke...it's a little too early to start him on those ;-).

Love it. My mom is a retired librarian and I know she would get a big kick out of that. And the puppies on the card go with the dog joke. Sweet!
That card makes me laugh, I wish I had a shirt with those puppies. The shirt would also have to say "Thinking of you..."

our librarians are awesome. and the only time i go to the library is for story time on wednesday mornings, so there are lots of loud little kids around then . . . i don't know what it's like there at other times . . . but it's sure fun then. :)
