When we would visit I felt as though I was swimming in a sea of boys, which was great for the "cool aunt." For the record they never called me a cool aunt I just assumed. Anyway, his sisters both always joked that Eric and I would be the ones to give a girl to the family...then one of his sisters beat us to the punch. Good thing our one and only niece is such a charmer or we might begrudge her.
When I was pregnant with Cordelia I was certain that I was having a girl. I just knew it. I felt as though I had always known that our first child would be a girl. We did have a boy name picked out, but I was reasonably certain it wouldn't be put to use.
This time around I really have no sense of the gender of this baby, at all. One day I am sure that it is a girl and then the next day it is absolutely a boy. So I have concluded two things 1)I am not psychic 2)I really and truly don't have a preference about the gender of this baby.

With that said I can't wait to find out the gender of this little one who is dancing around my interior. We find out on Thursday morning.
Do you want to get in on the guessing game? I know many of you have voted on the sidebar, but now is the time to do away with anonymity. It is time to stand proud behind your guess. Leave a comment with your guess at the gender of this baby. The winner will be randomly selected from those who guessed correctly...and if you win you will be getting your very own copy of Simple Sewing for Baby.
For those of you who want to know here is a little info that will add fuel to the old wives tales:
- The heartbeat has been in the high 150s.
- I am carrying neither high nor low, right in the middle.
- I have had cravings for bell peppers, pickles, chocolate and one day I desperately wanted a fuzzy navel (don't worry I abstained).
- The baby is active and kicking low.
I think that should do it. Join in the fun!

I want to believe its a GIRL!! Only cause I have 3, and I think it was you who told me that vegans have girls...hahaha
I don't want to win the book, as I don't have my sewing machine out of storage and it may take a while... BUT I am hoping for a boy, then, like I said before, you'll have one of each!
Kristen, it is true that vegans have slightly higher numbers of girls than the rest of the population.
I really wanted a girl the first time. I was so upset at the ultraasound when I learned I'd be having a boy (partly because I didn't even want to know) and I've always said I couldn't have been more wrong. I got the child I needed. My son is and always has been my sun. With our second we knew she was a girl from 7 weeks on. I considered choosing boy names and buying ender neutral clothes, but I just *knew*. I'm excited for you either way! {For the record, I was a vegan when I had my son! Back in the olden days...}
Everyone I know who is pregnant at the moment seem to be having girls ,but I think this baby is a boy I dont know why but that is what I am plumping for . Chris P
I am thinking "boy"...
my vote is for a boy.
Oh girl for sure. once you start having girls it's hard to stop.
ok.
let's say it's a boy.
:)
It's a BOY for sure!
I am thinking another girl for some reason. But when you were pregnant with Cordelia, I guessed she was a boy and we see know how wrong that was. I can't wait to find out!
My guess is boy, and we all know how accurate my guesses aren't! Of course, don't put my name in the drawing as I already get to be a winner because I get to grandmother this new little person! Yay for me!
I'll go with boy. Either way, how exciting and amazing!! 2 more days to wonder!
Interesting about vegans having slightly more girls than boys. I'm 4 months pregnant with our first and have been vegan nearly 4 years, but I have a weird suspicion I'm carrying a boy...
I'm thinking boy. Don't even know why. Praying he/she is healthy no matter what! YAY! :-)
Boy. Holy cow, I cannot WAIT to find out!!!
Seems like it is going to be a boy. I know y'all are super excited to find out! It's one of my favorite moments during the pregnancy (even though you're happy either way).
Ok, so I think I voted girl on the sidebar, purely because at the time I felt the need to even the votes up to 7 each.
Now though, I'm going to guess boy.
I'm excited to find out!
