Sleep

Photobucket

Do you ever get that feeling you're being watched? Me too, but not when this photo was taken. I was completely oblivious. You see we're a bit sleep deprived here. Cordelia hasn't been up all night crying or anything, she's just sort of awake. It's a strange half sleep that she enters and it involves lots of grunting, sighing and cooing. Really it's quite adorable, but it makes for a rough night of sleep. The good thing about sleep deprivation is that it is followed by sweet moments like these. That's what I tell myself at 4 in the morning...I look forward to the afternoon nap. Who knew that I could be a napper? I'm not sure that Bumblebee is sleep deprived; I think she's just opportunistic.

LOL, all of u look so warm and comfy. Yep napping becomes your latest past time... I remember when my hubby took a similar pic except i noticed one eye was open..omg, slept w/one eye open... now that's tired.
Nursing can tire u out too.. your body's doing a lot of work..

this is cute.

bumblebee reminds me so much of my liz lemon. liz loves her nap too and the second anyone in the house even sits on a bed or couch she appears seemingly from out of nowhere.

That is a most adorable photo. You all look incredibly comfy. Where are the cats?

Daphne, the cats are still a bit uncertain about Cordelia and I don't think they've forgiven us for Bumblebee. They were on the chair nearby though.

That is such a wonderful photo - one that I'm sure you'll cherish :) I used to tell myself at 3 in the morning, that I wasn't the only Mom up, nursing a newborn. Somehow I found some solace in that. For some reason, I never was able to nap, but I loved having a baby nap on me. So sweet.

Lovely!!! But I hated that nursing pillow. I always breastfeed lying down. Nicer for the neck muscles.

It's funny coz I was never a day time napper until I had kids, now a little siesta in the day is sheer bliss. You two look so clam and peaceful, what a beautiful picture!

Oh I remember that...so sweet. Have you mastered nursing in a sling/wrap yet and lying down?? Both help a TON!! The lying down helps you get some sleep and the sling helps you get other things done! :) Once I mastered nursing laying down and she got big enough to co-sleep my sleep improved tremendously!!!! It's wonderful...
