Flowers have decided to call it for the season

A quilt made by my grandmother works for now, we have only flirted with the notion of turning on the heater

Most of the leaves are still green...

but there are a few leaves that have decided to turn

Cordelia is enjoying her fuzzy blanket
For now I will spend my mornings warming under a quilt with a cup of hot tea. Is it cold where you are?
Don't forget to check out yesterday's post to enter the giveaway!!!! I will be posting the re-organized craft space this weekend (yesterday ended up being too crazy to make time to organize, so the mess remains).

Oh, the hat and the blanket! I love that picture!
It's chilly, but not cold. I have been using my comforter at night, though. Right now in STL, it's 68 degrees, and it's been high 60s/low 70s all week, with cloudless blue skies and lots of sunshine. Simpy perfect! This is my favorite part of the year! Yays!
Wow! Summers are so short there! We are still pretty warm here, but not nearly as hot as it has been. Highs in the mid 80's, but next week we'll be back up in the 90's. AC is still running for now. We usually turn on the heat at the end of October, around Halloween. October is usually a glorious month in Oklahoma-- cool mornings, warm afternoons, cool evenings, mellow sunshine. It's a good time for a visit! Hint, hint. ;)
It's been about 60 here when we get up so I run around and open all the windows. By the end of the day it's back in the 80s, though. I am done with summer!
