This year we actually have stuff to do. Two parties to attend and we are falling short. No ideas. We need your help. Please help us come up with a family theme costume, weird is good. Here are our parameters:
- Nothing that would frighten Cordelia.
- Nothing generic.
- Nothing too cute.
- Weird is good, but identifiably weird.
- Need to be able to make or assemble with speed.

Dress all in pink with a name tag that says Floyd and Eric can be The Wall. {I really want someone to use that idea, lol} Mary Poppins and Bert. Photographer and model but with a twist.
I think a family of bums would be a great idea, just gather up a bunch of old clothes, make them even older with more holes and patches, and of course you must have a great makeup, black and brown would create dirt on your faces. I think Cordelia's naturally wild hair doesn't need any work, but Eric does, because his always looks too good! You may need some fingerless mittens if you have any!
How about the Addams family? You and Eric would be awesome as Morticia and Gomez. They're creepy, but not too scary. If your mom has made a brunette "bald baby" hat, Cordy could wear that and be Wednesday Addams...or you could probably easily find her a suitable wig. First family costume idea that popped into my mind...

Andy and I were going to do this, but I don't think it's gonna work out...so you might think about it. Heat Miser and Snow Miser from the old stop animation movie called "A Year Without Christmas" We were going to have Andy be Heat Miser because he can spike his hair up...google the images...cute. Just a thought. Have fun! We miss you!!
Ummm....Saved by the Bell characters? An 80's metal band trio? Wonder Pets of the Future? That's all I've got for now....will comment again later if I get any other ideas. :)
Some great ideas from others! I especially like the Addams Family and Pink Floyd/The Wall. Hmm...are you fans of The Simpsons? You could be Homer and Marge and Cordelia could be Maggie or Lisa.

I was thinking the Aadams family, too, until I read (the other) Kate's comment! LOVE the Pink Floyd & the Wall idea!
Various members of our family were The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. You could put a box on the head of the Wardrobe (I'm thinking your husband) and attatch hangers to his arms. Cordelia would be a great Lion, and you could be a Friendly Witch. It worked for us!
The quickest costume I ever came up with was Salt & Pepper. My friend and I dressed in black and white gowns, respectively, and donned paper plate hats with "holes" sharpied in the shape of P and S. (Doesn't have to be gowns...could be sweaters even!) Cordelia would make a good Sugar n Spice...or depending what solid color outfits she has...maybe ketchup or mustard or something food-related!
