Coffee Shop Husband

Coffee Shop Girl

Yesterday morning the sun was shining and creating just enough heat to melt some snow off of the roads. The air was still cold and windy so we bundled up and decided to get out of the house to run a few errands and perhaps make a couple of thrift store stops. Before we could go anywhere we decided to swing by a local coffee shop/ gallery space. Cordelia enjoyed a good look around before we waited for our coffee (mine was a decaf soy latte in case you are worried). Cordelia was able to enjoy a vegan cookie and we were all happy to get out and do a little exploring and enjoy some family time. It was a good day indeed. Did you have a nice day? Do you have a local coffee place that you like to visit?

Because I don't live in a "small town" my city is peppered with big coffee shop franchises = Tim Horton (almost on every corner, has cheap looking tables and chairs) Starbucks (which has a little appeal, it has some lounging areas with couches) and Second Cups (which looks like a combination of both).
I like the look of the coffee shop you stopped at, it looks warm and inviting!

It's all personal choice, but don't be afraid of a little caffeine. I believe it's 300mg a day, which is ALOT. And drip coffee has much more than an espresso shot. You'd be ok indulging :) My knitting group has discovered a local coffee shop that is so lovely, and serves homemade gelato. A nice refresher from the big chain shops :)

Carmen, as someone who has had miscarriages I completely abstain while pregnant--but I know many women who have had coffee throughout pregnancy with no trouble.
